What are Dermal fillers?
DERMAL FILLERS
Dermal fillers, such as Restylane® and JUVÉDERM®, are injectable dermal fillers that temporarily restore and add volume to certain areas of the face. Fillers can lift and contour the cheeks, improve the profile of the chin, and provide correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Fillers also are very popular to add plumpness to the lips.
The ingredient of most dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid (HA) which is naturally found in our body. Hyaluronic acid fillers, when injected in specific areas of the face, help to temporarily add volume to those areas by drawing in water.
Dermal fillers can be used in:
– Correcting volume loss in the cheek area
– Augmentation and improvement of the chin profile
– Improvement of facial wrinkles and folds as smile lines around nose and mouth, lip lines, marionette lines.
